Do I need trembucker?

Ok, I have an American made Kramer Baretta, cream color with MAPLE fingerboard and hockey stick headstock, single humbucker.
This guitar weighs the same as my Gibson Les Paul Traditional Plus with a non-chambered/weight relief body...it's a heavy sucker! And I love it. It originally came with a Schaller humbucker which is of course is installed at a slant.

I am pretty sure I am going to go with a Seymour Duncan JB model humbucker.

I have 2 questions:

1) Do I need to go with a trembucker (remember the slant)?

2) What SD pickup would be just slightly hotter than a JB with more bottom end, a LITTLE less mids and about the same treble?

p.s. I like to play mostly classic rock up to heavy rock. ex., Bad Company, Aerosmith, Doobie Bros. etc, on up to Ozzy, Motley Crue, Ratt, Poison, Van Halen, etc.
My originals may vary from clean jazz to bluesy, to heavy metal.
And I do like to use pinch harmonics, whammy bar and mutes.

I could be wrong, but I don't think, because of the slant, you don't need the trembucker. The slant compensates for the wider floyd spacing to line the 2 E poles up with the strings

I think you're right about that

Hi guys, the whole point of slanting it in the first place was that each string could have a measure of coverage by the pole pieces. Un-necessary, but it's a good sounding pickup placement position.

You don't really need a Trembucker.

While not quite as hot as a JB, the Perpetual Burn may be right up your alley, especially as far as its EQ goes.

No, you do not need a Trembucker. A standard spaced humbucker will be fine, hence the angle.

In my '88 Baretta I have JB though a Custom, Custom Custom or a Distortion works well.
