I'd try a Distortion bridge, a Vintage Rails middle and a Hot Rails neck.
Add a push/pull to split the bridge and neck pu's.

Hey dude, For me 3 Hot Rails is too much think about a Cool Rails in the neck just for a little variety if anything, I have a H-S-S guitar with a distortion in the bridge hot rails in the mid and a cool rails in the neck and there's lots of tonal room to play with.

The hot rails aren't that hot. The bridge HR sounds mostly like a DD, and a DD has quite a bit of brightness left. The neck HR is pretty much PAF class. The HRs are a bit more hifi sounding due to the missing polepieces but they really aren't nearly as heavy as an Invader bridge or a DD neck.
