Do we have a plan?

We've got 3 clips to work on. Are we doing them randomly or going in sequence?

There's the one with the nice bassline (Paco Dell)

The nice chords (acoustic)

And the other one that I'm not sure what to do with. To me it sounds like a complete piece and I find myself listening to it more than anything else. I'm hoping to get an idea from you lot on how I'm supposed to deal with it.

So how are we doing it? Is Jeff Seal joining in all of them or just the metal one?

Re: Do we have a plan?

I'm totally lacking time today, and even tomorrow, so for the moment, I'll probably only do nuntius's one becuase it flashed me something right from the start. I'll try to catch up in the next day or so.

It's getting hard to follow, there's so many freakin' posts suddenly :)

Can't agree more! Once you got your pups and your gear set, what should you do? Play damn it! :)

I think some people have more fun fooling around with gear than actually playing...

Now, now you can't say that! I play a lot, but 99% of my guitar time is spent working on band stuff, teaching, or practicing my own lessons ... and I'm sure I'm not alone in that category.

Jamming on these clips is fun, but low priority ..

Re: Do we have a plan?

i think he just meant in general, we know you play a lot man, its pretty obvious from your clips you've posted :D

i think what he meant was some people think playing about with their gear makes them a better player than actually playing ;)

Re: Do we have a plan?

TwilightOdyssey, I totally agree with you. I wonder why you feel the need the set this straight... you're a teacher and a pro, I'm not counting you in that category at all. Of course, people who have time to stick around here are not pros for the most part. We're hobbyists. Yet some people talk about gear and have 58 original Les Pauls and play like ****. I heard it with my very hears.

If I was doing shows weekly, chances are I would not be on this board.

Listen, I really have the impression I pissed you off on the theory thing, but this was not my intention. All the best players here, whatever their age, have one thing in common: great muscial knowledge. I know that, and I constantly try to improve my knowledge.

What I will always fight though, is people using their knowledge to put other players down. I freaking hate it.

Didn't piss me off at all, man. Don't worry about it. I'm totally not offended!! :D I totally agree with what you're saying!

Re: Do we have a plan?

Dime,

You been listening to Extreme? That sounds almost Nuno inspired... and it rocks.

So, which clips are we doing?

Re: Do we have a plan?

No no JammerMatt, im sorry if I mislead anyone, but thats NOT me, haha, that would be Steve Morse!

Re: Do we have a plan?

ROFL. Two points for honesty.

I was about to say, "Dang... 14 years old... you're killing me here!"

So, is that one of the jam tracks?

Cool, I just don't want to leave a false impression. I'm having a lot of fun playing, and this is basically all I'm aiming for: Fun! :)

Re: Do we have a plan?

Dime-
Do you have any info on the clip? like what scale and key it is wrote around? I am going to try to get to it tonight but it would make things easier if I didn't need to figure all of that out.

Re: Do we have a plan?

Sorry RGN, if I knew I would have let you know. Let me try and research it, see if I come up with anything.
