you should have good legato technique to play this part. there is no picking in it.
what you are supposed to do is tap the first note with your right hand, play the rest with your left, and then jump to the g-string and do the same thing in a different pattern.
if you want i could record it for you slow or something if that can help out.
the things to remember are that you have to sound fluent(!) you are playing an arpeggio so if it doesnt sound fluent it will sound like crap. and you should make sure that all the notes ring well and sound at the same volume.
