Do you keep pedals that you never / seldom use?

I've sold a lot of pedals over the years. There are a few I wish I had kept.

Boss MZ-2 Digital Metalizer
Boss SD-2 Dual Overdrive
Boss DD-2 Digital Delay
Ibanez TS808
Whirlwind Orange Box (Phase 90 circuit)

Of the ones I have accumulated the last couple years, I have no plans to sell them. They all have a purpose and get used.

I've always gotten rid of them, there's only a couple that I regret giving away. 2 flangers a Boss and a DOD & a Digitech whammy pedal.

I wish I hadn't gotten rid of one of my Arion Tubulator's. I have one still, but they sound great when you run one into another.

I sold a reverb pedal today that I bought used on Thursday. It did Rockabilly and Surf well but I don't play either of those styles so it was sold.

I forgot about the BF-2 and the old MXR Flanger (with AC cord attached) that I had sold years ago.

I had a BF-2 Flanger too. Older model from the early 90's I believe. Sold it 4 years ago on Reverb for 45. Mint condition. I regretted it as soon as I shipped it.

Back to pedals I own, but never use . . . the good ole Danelectro Fab Tone. Not bad per se, but almost every other dirt pedal I have is better. But it's built like a tank. Has a funky retro-vibe to it.

I have many, many drive pedals. I'm reluctant to sell any, even though a few are similar enough to qualify as near-duplicates.
I don't rally need four iterations of the Zendrive, for instance, or three different Tube Screamer variants.
But it's not inconceivable that I could someday want that tone on all three of my pedalboards, though...

I have a Roto Machine pedal that sounds great. I only break it out on rare occasions because it weighs several pounds.
There are assorted others that I use only rarely: oddballs like ring mod, sample/hold, tremolo, auto wah, etc.
Still, I like to know that when I want a certain specific effect, I have it available.

I've hardly ever sold a guitar without missing it afterwards - sometimes immediately, and often for a very long time.
I don't form as personal an attachment to pedals as I do with guitars. But all my gear is carefully chosen, even the pedals,
I know I'd probably miss many of them if I started selling. So I haven't, so far.

Everything I have is in use, besides an HX Stomp. I might use it again someday. Otherwise, nothing sitting around anywhere.

I remember not liking their Daddy-O. Do you know how the Fab Tone is different?

Mine was an 80's model. That thing was perfect. I had left a band and not playing much so I sold everything except my amp and guitars. Pedals, power supplies, patch cables, pedalboards, wireless. All of that stuff to pay down debt. Can't remember what I got for mine but I'm pretty sure it was more than 45. I had the BF-2b for a while too, the bass version, but I used it with my guitar. It had that warmth of the old MXR that I really liked. Wish I kept that one too. Those old Boss brown bass pedals were great.

Several years ago I trimmed all of my impulse-buy pedals. I had a decent amount, and I don't miss any of them.

I now have only stomps that I actually use and have a need for.

Although I do have a Steel Panther Butthole Burner pedal that will stay... unmolested in the box. Investment purposes.
