DOD 270 A/B Box, good or bad?

I just bought a DOD 270 A/B box, anyone know if they are any good? got it off ebay and after i purchased it i realized i didnt know a thing about it and if it could kill the output or tone of my gear by spliting it like taht with a simple spliter box... im trying to create a wierd setup that im not sure is good or will work but i needed a way to split 2 sets of pedals asigned for diferent task and be able to switch from one to annother instantly.. anyone know if its good? or bad, if so any good spliters out there? i dont know nothing about these things.. all i know is Boss has one wich is more expensif and has more features.. and then theres the radial ones too.. this one was 19.98$

it's not a splitter, it's an A/B box

all it is is a box, a switch and 3 jacks. I had one and it's a completely passive design. hell, If i remember correctly, it didn't even have resistors (to reduce the popping sound)
