DOD/DigiTech Badder Monkey

Looking at the clips, when it is set to sound like the original, it sounds best. And I already have one. Also, the original had a 'mixer out' jack, which essentially was a LPF, and that output going to the amp sounded great. The new one doesn't look like it has that.

Looks like a cash grab. I haven't heard any clips yet

Nah...it sounds pretty awesome!

Definitely introduces some cool new features and delivers everything from a subtle boost to basically rock distortion!

Price is pretty much on par with any new basic pedal from Boss, JHS, or the like...

So many bigger/badder Screamers these days. I'm holding out for a Green Rhiono MkIV

What makes the original Bad Monkey (and the Sreamin' Blues, Hot Head and DF-7) so versatile was the Low and High EQ controls. It's a bit of a shame they opted for one tone control, but still a neat redesign.

I still laugh when I think of how Josh of JHS Pedals created Bad-Monkey Derangement Syndrome with a simple shoot-out video.

There is a concentric treble & bass control here.

I had the Hardwire cm2 tube overdrive and the rv7 lexicon reverb and they were very good and sturdy, I sold them eons ago and regret it since.
I had the Hardwire delay too, it was nice but the other two were well ahead
