Does anybody know how I can figure out what model my Ibanez is?

I have a 7 String Ibanez RG series, it was bought from a friensd about 3 years ago, hasn't seen much action till recently though.

It has 2 x HB's and a 5 way switch, I have been trying to figure out the swithcing cominations from info on the website, but i'm pretty sure my model is not on there.

It has a Lo-TRS trem and a silver "Ibanez" logo on the headstock, I'm fairly sure it's one of the lower ones in the range but can't find any model no. anywhere...

Can anybody help?

Re: Does anybody know how I can figure out what model my Ibanez is?

Whats the serial? Does it start with an F, C, or S?

Seeing that it runs a Lo-TRS trem, I'm willing to bet its a RG7420 - the higher end ones run the Edge/Lo-Pro-7, and I dont recall Ibanez ever making another 7-stringer that ran the (imho, terrible) Lo-TRS. If its a 7420, the serial should be F*******, seeing as theyre made in Japan, and the F denotes the Japanese factory. The first 2 digits of the serial state the year it was produced in.

It's F99*****, so i guess it's an rg7420, and yeah that bridge is a bit ropey.

Thanks for that, I've been looking all over the ibanez site and couldn't finad anything related to the serial number.

Cheers
