A Chorus effect will sound like 2 guitars not tuned with each other, unless you can set the Rate and Depth to absolute zero but set the actual Delay at around 30ms, but I've found that you end up with an "open wah" tone that way - lots of extra mids if you've already got a middy tone. I use a Chorus set like that in my ADA MP-1 to get a "Schenker" tone (Into the Arena, etc).
Two delays set just a hair apart will sound like 2 guitars playing the same thing without the extra mids.

I use the Rocktron xpression. It has dual settings as well.

Yes, I use two Boss DD-20's My basic setting is a shorter delay 150 to 200ms going to one amp and a longer 403ms to a another amp. The signal being split by a Fulltone Chorus before hand. I run these quite carefully... try to mix them well. And then other setting are much more extreme... You know U2 and Alan Holdsworth multi tap rhythmic settings.
As mentioned earlier, the Tape Delay setting is very cool... Volume swells etc...
"Where the Streets Have No Name" 525ms & 350ms It's just fun! "Pride" 409ms & 150ms
The Boss also has a modulation setting... and a smooth setting that sounds like reverb.

Yamaha UD Stomp would do that easily - up to 8 simultaneous delays, each with separate modulation. You can build insane multi-band choruses or flangers or reverbs with it too. Programming takes a touch of head scratching but it's an awesome unit.

Not now - but I used to, and many people do.
I hate delay for 'twin guitar' or at least you need a delay with some modulation capability. Go harmomizer.
Most combo delays I see don't have the full set of controls - time, repeat, and level. You get to change the time but not repeats - which is weak IMO.

At one point in time TGWIF even had a JMP1 and all the assorted toys... as I think most of us did. Hey man, it was the fashion of the day. Thankfully we eventually came to our senses!
I keep one delay pedal w/tap tempo on each board... I love delays but never really got into stacking them. I do know a guy who runs a Keely AD9 and a Pigtronix Echolution on his main board... he'll have the piggy setup for "odd" sounds like reverse or modulated delays & the AD9 is in a loop of the loop-master... used for general ambiance & the occasional infinite hold thing.

I run two delays on my board, a DD7 for spacey, modulated delays. Then I have a Vox time machine that is set up for more of a high-fi clean delay. I mainly use the Boss on clean sounds and the Vox for dirty sounds since its less muddy with gain, but i do stack them for odd ambient noises. I'm actually considering adding an Electro Harmonix memory boy to the board also:nervous:

I use a DL4 and a DD-20 on my board at the moment..... I like the DL4's various analog mod settings and also have a swell setting on it (you can have up to 3) for the times I don't want to rock the volume pedal during intros and chord-swells.
I use the DD-20 MAINLY for a dotted eighth note delay setting. I really need to play around with it some more to see if I'm going to keep it. I've seen a few of you talk about the tape head setting and I'm going to go home tonight and check it out... If I don't find that appealing I'll probably trade around for a DD-6 or DD-7 because I've GOT to have the dotted eighth note delay and if that's all I'm getting out of the DD-20, it's taking up too much real estate.

I've got a Boss RV-3 that I use for longer delays and the Line6 Verbzilla has a short delay on it that I use for slapback type stuff.
Mode 7 on the RV-3 is delay + plate reverb and that equals TASTY!
I've also got one a DeltaLab DD1 I'm thinking of tossing in for good measure!

However, I ain't gettin' the middle of anything because I'm not sure any harm was even meant in the first place.
