Does anyone know what these are called + where to buy them?

Hey guys.

For when my pedalboard is finished, I'm looking at using some specific connectors for the pedals which I recall my ex guitar teacher using.

They look like 2 1/4inch jack plugs (like on guitar leads) but they're just connected to each other, no cable involved.

Does anyone happen to know what they're called, where I could get some from and (most importantly) if they even exist in the first place or have I just made them up :laugh2:

never seen that before.
You mean like two plugs connected and to put pedals right beside each other?
That'd be weird. I wouldn't really like them so close.

I think I have a couple lying around...shoot me a PM.

You can also buy them with a slight offset if your pedal configuration requires it. I bought them at my local music store - the brand was Hosa.

I used them before I built my pedal board thinking they should be sturdy. I was kind of surpised when I was breaking down one day and one them came apart. Maybe it's just Hosa.

I use GeorgeL connectors now.

You're not imagining it Craig - I've seen those offset ones. :)

offset connector

I would look at these offset ones, because the straight ones are good only if the jacks are at exactly the same height off the floor.

Thanx for the tip :)

That was 1 aspect of it that I hadn't taken into account.

I feel your pain. Sometimes trying to find exactly what cable I want is also impossible, or so it seems, because no one calls them by their "proper" name. But congratulations at finding it! :D

As soon as several people in this thread linked me to examples of what I'm looking for, it gave me more search ideas so I was able to track down a few suppliers here in the UK :)

Thanx for the posts guys.

After all the searching, my local guitar shop sells them but just doesn't have them on display, so I never knew! :smack:
