I am trying to search for the forum address but can't find it. I know there was a thread which had it plus it had a clip of a HR 50xl but just can find it.....Anyone :yell:
How do you think I ended up with 2? After all the Widespread Panic shows I've been to since 1991, it was hard not to buy an SLO-100. Mike Houser, as well as Warren Haynes, made that amp famous to me.
When I finally got one, I realized what the fuss was about. While they are not the most versatile amps, they deliver (IMO) the single greatest high-gain lead channel tone of any amp on the market. Not to mention, they are fairly indestructable. They are meant for the road, large venues and to be played LOUD. The true tone of that amp does not come out until you get to 4-5 on the volume knob - which, unfortunately, is very, very loud.
