does anyone sell cheap Filtertron pickups

The only company I know that sells filtertron pickups in a humbucker size or any size is TV Jones. While I realize they are AMAZING in sound they are not very economical for a 3 pickup guitar. If there are no others I guess I can save up, a lot.


The other question: Is there a way to mount a regular size filtertron to a pickguard?

If I remember correctly the Dimarzio Eric Johson custom model buckers are meant to sound like filtertrons..check up the Dimarzio site for description.This forum also has some reviews of the EJ custom model

Dont get the gretsch made in China filtertrons. Ive heard they sound just awefull.

Let me rephrase my question. Who else makes filtertrons? Normal sized filtertrons. Not amazingly dark like the GFS clips. Which may be my only hope and may not be all bad for a fiberglass guitar. We'll see.

As for the Dimarzios the thing is dimarzios always sound like Dimarzios. I want to show off the fiberglass sound, not make it sound like a dimarzio.
