Well, I tried selling my hot rodded MIM Fender Tele on Ebay with no luck. It's pretty much dead mint with the following upgrades:

Fender American Locking Tuners
Graph Tech String Tree
Seymour Duncan Vintage Rhythm Stack
Seymour Duncan Hot Rails
WD Products Vintage 3 Ply Mint Green Pickguard
Graph Tech Saddles
Fender Molded Case

I was asking $400.00, but no takers...What do you guys think about parting out the guitar? Anyone interested in the guitar or specific parts?

Email me @ martinsixstringcustoms@verizon.net for pix.

Re: Does it pay to part out this guitar?????

This is sorta a tough question. Its like this:

You have a bone stock '67 Chevelle. It goes for "x" amount of dollars.

You put Cragars, an Alpine stereo, Goodrich TA's, a computer controlled modern 350. The car is definitely improved. You'll get less money. :yell:

Its a tough call. ;)

It always pays to part out Fenders (in my experience). I got pretty much what I paid when I sold the parts of my strat.

Well I would be interested in the saddles, the tuners and possibly the string trees, so I say, part it out.

I'm sure that will move, it's a heck of a deal. I'm suprised it didn't at $400.

Re: Does it pay to part out this guitar?????

Not quite the same thing. You can buy a MIM tele new for less than $400. Upgrades don't translate to value on the used market. I would say put the stock parts back on it and sell the upgrades seperately.

the man's right - nothing raises the used price of a guitar like this better than putting on inferior parts :13:
