Does Seymour Duncan make a Black Chrome pick-up cover?

Just wondering because I'm gonna be getting my pickup's changed in one of my guitars that has black chrome hardware, and I thought it would be extremely cool to have the new pickups have black chrome pickup covers to match the hardware. Does the custom shop do those? If so, how much extra would it be to get those made?

I think they do in the custom shop, but not production. If it is custom, I'm guessing it won't be a ton of money.

They have them, and have used them for OEM's. You can request something as a Shop Floor Custom and see what they say. Be sure to specify the right color though. When Duncan refers to Black Nickel, they mean the grey-ish metal similar to what Ibanez calls Cosmo. Lots of companies use that color and call it something like smokey chrome or whatever. If you mean jet black, like black hardware on a guitar, I believe Duncan calls that Black Chrome.

I guess you could say it's more along the lines of black nickel rather than black chrome, that's just what I believed it was since it was really black but it wasn't really nicke. More like it was "smokey" like you say some companies call it. Would you be able to provide a picture perhaps?

There is a difference between black chrome and black nickel. Make sure you are getting the right one. Black chrome is what I would just call "black." "Black nickel" is a dark gray.

The Mustaine Livewires come with that specific finish, I think.
