Does the parallel axis pickup really improve sustain?

Re: Does the parallel axis pickup really improve sustain?

I'd like to know also. In fact I'm hoping to try out ALL of the Parallel Axis models in my guitar including the PATB neck model and Parallel Axis Stack (which is almost impossible to find information about).

From the limited reviews I've seen from three main PA pickups they seem to be quite the hidden gem of the SD line.

I´m using the PA Distortion in my Rhoads... I haven´t done any A/B tests as far as sustain in particular goes (my guitars all have enough), but the guitar does seem to be more "alive"...

FWIW

'Alive' as in more punchy?

When I play hard-tail guitars I can really notice a difference in how much punchier and fat they sound compared to my trem equipped Jackson.
