Does this "J" mean MJ?

I know that "J" on the sticker on the back of old SD humbuckers indicates that they were wounded by our pickup guru MJ. But I have an old Invader 7 (got it around 2003) which has a handwritten "J" on the red sticker on the BOX. Does anyone know what it means?

In fact, I don't even know whether this sticker is from the SD factory or the dealer. Also, the sticker on the back of the pickup got nothing but "B" (which means bridge model of course), see pics below.

Since no one has replied, I will take a go - I didnt think MJ was still winding regular production pickups. I also doubt a random red letter on a box would prove anything, it might not even be the original box the pickup shipped in.

I bet a 7 string Invader is CRUSHING though! :)

Thanks for the reply!
The box is original as I myself brought the pickup new from a local shop in 2003.

Re: Does this "J" mean MJ?

It's not on the pickup, it's on top of a sticker that would be further along in the production line - post QA, I assume. I would bet money she didn't wind it, or at least that that J is any indication of that.

From what I understand the pickup is older than 2002. Although you got it in 2003, the sticker suggests the time before the newer stickers with production info.

Is there a stamp on the baseplate? It looks like there isn't and it seems odd there wouldn't be, but I'm not familiar with the 7-string pickups, so maybe they weren't stamped at that time. The sticker (size and font) looks right for a pickup of around that time.

Re: Does this "J" mean MJ?

Ah I didn't notice until you mentioned, that there's indeed no stamp on the baseplate, which is weird.
But I'm 100% sure that the pickup is legitimate, since I got it from an authorized SD dealer in HongKong, which is the largest musical instrument dealer in Asia.
