Donahue-ing MyTele

I am installing an APTL-3JD at the bridge and an Aps ll-Strat at the neck to my Tele. I have bought he picks and all the other parts need ed to install them, save the switch. I should appreciate it if you could advise me as to which switch to get and as to schemeatics for wiring the pickups as Jerry Donahue does.

Hey Rich; You may want to read over this thread where we covered the JD wiring pretty good. Note that as you get deeper into the thread, we start to discuss some JD variations. Also, there's still a couple of my pics missing, because my server is down. Soon to be fixed.

btw - you need a Superswitch for that wiring.

as you may or may not know, the JD wiring is a bit of a secret

this is mentioned somewhere in the FAQ or Q & A on the main site

I think I've seen people post what they believe the settings are, but not a definitive schematic

Do you guys really like that #4 tone of the two tele pickups in series to make them a "wide humbucker"? Lew
