Don'tcha Hate Incoming NGD Threads?

Me too, but here I sit on a quiet Saturday morning wanting Tuesday to get here and trying to contain my excitement cuz I have an INCOMING NEW GUITAR!

I've lusted after one of these for quite some time. I was online checking out guitar porn on Reverb.com Thursday night when Mrs. BriGuy caught me...

Her: "Oooh... that one's BEAUTIFUL!"

Me: "Right? I've wanted one of these for a long time, but I've already spent too much on guitar stuff."

Her: "Bri, you work hard and hardly ever do anything for yourself... we have the money right now and you deserve it!

So I ask you... what would YOU do?

...EXACTLY!

Had to order another guitar hanger. It came as a 4-pack, so I have 3 extras... hmmmmmm... [emoji848]

Pretty. What do the mini toggles do?

Ibanez calls them "Tri-Sound Switches" as if it's some proprietary invention of theirs, but they're really series/split/parallel 3-way minis.

Wow, pretty! I always liked those since I had seen the ads in Guitar Player in the early 80s.

Re: Don'tcha Hate Incoming NGD Threads?

Ibanez had tri tone pickups at one time
Three coils
Humbucker with a stacked coil underneath

You had a choice of humbucker
Single
Or humless single

That may not be what you have
Curious to see

Yeah... I hear ya, but that's not what these are (although that would be cool). Screenshot from their site:

Oh well I put those on a couple of project guitars for friends who didn't want to buy triple shot rings

Lol... I have them on my Westone, but I almost never use the parallel setting. I've gone to just a single 2-way that splits both pickups as my preferred method on other guitars. But what the heck... since they're already there I'll leave 'em. [emoji6]

Perfect! I always love having those options for 'buckers.

Love the artist. Any Les Paul fan would...

Sweet factory electronics!

Re: Don'tcha Hate Incoming NGD Threads?

Here's some eye candy to hold you over until it arrives. I got mine about 8 months ago. Flawless workmanship, attention to detail and the Super 58 pickups kill. Enjoy.

Thanks... but I think you just made the waiting WORSE! [emoji12]

Beautiful guitar man!

Beautiful. My first real guitar was an 80's AR300 tiger stripe.... damn I wish I still had it. Congrats on the new guitar, I'm sure it will be more than worth the wait.

Re: Don'tcha Hate Incoming NGD Threads?

This is so cool...

I was on YouTube looking for decent demos of this guitar to try and keep myself pacified and saw this short one that the music store I bought it from did. Low and behold, I saw the serial number and realized it's actually MY GUITAR!

Re: Don'tcha Hate Incoming NGD Threads?

That is beautiful. Since I got serious about learning to play after a few years of "trying" and life getting in the way, I've fallen in love with the Black Cherry-ish colors. I got an Epip LP in black cherry and I love anything that looks like that.

What did these things cost originally?

Street price new is $599. I got mine for $399.

The video says it's new, but the date on it is 2014. I figure they must have sold it new and then traded it back in.
