Don'tcha Hate Incoming NGD Threads?

Re: Don'tcha Hate Incoming NGD Threads?

When you get it
I want to know if it has a slim Epi/Gibson neck
Or skinny flat back Ibby wizard neck
I love them both just curiosity

Definitely more of a slim Epi/Gibson neck... not as skinny as a Wizard. It's very comfortable (at least to me).

She's a beaut and timeless. That body shape is a classic. Definite keeper. Congrats!

Ibanez has been killing the under $1k market for years. I played some semi-hollows the other day in the sub $500 range that sounded wonderful.

Always liked the old Ibanez Artist, Muscians and Studio Models from the 70s/80s. Great guitars all around. Reissues are sweet as well. Congrats.

I agree. I have 4 Ibanezes if you count my bass, and all are very nice guitars.

Yeah, I have been seriously considering some of the semi-hollows for the last week or so. Some Ibanez's play better than guitars costing 3x as much. I like them better than the Epi's, too.

I really love my AS83 (superseded now with the AS93). Pretty versatile now, too, with a set of P-Rails in there!

Re: Don'tcha Hate Incoming NGD Threads?

Honestly, 335s are enough out of my price range that I seldom pick them up for fear of a GAS attack that I can't afford. My limited experience is that it's pretty comparable, but again... my experience is limited.

I have seen a lot of reviews where other players say they find them to be comparable or even preferable to 335s, but I don't have a good way to substantiate that.

Re: Don'tcha Hate Incoming NGD Threads?

I had a 79 artist in candy apple. Longest sustaining guitar ever. I stupidly swapped it for a fender tele way back when because it was easier to switch between single coil guitars at gigs. Still kick myself for it. Always looking for a replacement. Great axes.
