So ya, dose wood material or guitar type affect tone more of high or low output pickups? My friend said that wood material has less of an effect high outputs and that they sound closer to the same in all types of guitars. is this true?

It does affect.. but like.. Warm woods get muddier easier.. higher output is hard to pull off without being A) Mud or B) Piercingly Shrill

Thus, I prefer Highoutput and dark in Alder for example, just to clear it up a tad.

hmm cuz im considering throwing some emgs in my start. and them some alnico 2 pros, in a lp im yet to buy. but that sounds good.
