"Double-Blend" Wiring for Broadcaster/Two-Pickup Esquire/Nocaster/Telecaster

Hey all,

I was just wondering if the following wiring scheme is possible for a Broadcaster/Two-pickup Esquire/Nocaster/Telecaster with two single coil pickups, a three-way switch, and two knobs:

Position 1: Neck pickup with 1 volume and 1 knob that blends in the bridge pickup
Position 2: Bridge pickup with 1 volume and 1 knob that blends in the neck pickup
Position 3: Bridge pickup with 1 volume and 1 tone

So, in essence, that gives you sort of a combination of the 1950 Broadcaster wiring and the modern telecaster wiring. You have the ability to use both pickups in positions 1 and 2, to varying degrees. You also have the ability to have the bridge pickup and roll off some of the highs. Ideally, position 2 would yield a somewhat Esquirey sound when the blend knob is completely off (a bridge pickup without the tone, going straight to the input jack).

Let me know if a wiring like this is possible with a standard three-way and two pot configuration. Let me know what you think too! Your input is much appreciated! I am really looking at this in the context of a 1950-style Broadcaster-type guitar like the Broadcaster clone I just built.

Best,
Nicky

One word answer? No.

With a fancy Superswitch? Maybe. :scratchch
