Double Neck Ovation...???

There's a guy at my father-in-law's church out here in Kansas City that has a double neck ovation with a bad pickup in one of the bodies...he said he'd sell it to me for $300 bucks...sound like a good deal?!?!?

also...how hard and expensive would it be to replace the pickup in it?

I would pay 300 for it just for the coolness factor. Plus you could imitate Pagey!!

I saw those redburst korean made ovations in guitar center new for about $800. The 12 string sounded cool, 6 string sounded dead. But for 300 I couldn't pass it up

I don't know what model it is or the color yet, i might go over there and check it out sometime this week...especially if i don't find anything at the musician's fiend "scratch & dent" showroom tomorrow!

anybody messed around with a/e pickups at all?
