Double NPD!

Alright! So while killing time before the Bruce Springsteen concert in Stockholm yesterday (btw, super awesome concert - they played the Born to Run album in it's entirety for the first time ever - I almost cried), I test drove, fell in love with and bought two new pedals!
A Boss BD-2 Blues Driver and a Mooer Pure Boost!
The pedals are excellent! The Blues Driver gives me the perfect rhythm sound I'm after. Set to a pretty transparent tone, with some added low-end rumble, but with great string definition when playing arpeggiated chords! And the picking dynamics are almost better than my AC30 set to the same gain level. If I easy up on my attack, it cleans up completely!
And with the Pure Boost kicked in, I get a searing lead tone that's to kill for! And stacked with my ProCo Rat, it gives me a pretty awesome tone too!
Best part: Boss pedals have dropped about 30% in price in Sweden, so the BD-2 was just slighty pricier than the Mooer, and costs less than half of the price of the main condenders I was looking at, the Fulltone OCD and Mad Professor Sweet Honey!
So there you have it, I'm now done with the dirt section of my new pedal board! The last piece missing is a Malekko Ekko!

Btw, any suggestions for how to mount these to a pedal board? Both got big rubber pads on the bottom plate.
I tried the trick with flipping the plate up side down on the Boss, but the circuit board is mounted too low in the chassis for it to fit. On the Mooer, the power input is mounted to the bottom plate, so no luck there either.

If the rubber feet are big enough, stick some velcro to those...that's what I do if I can't easily remove the feet.

Well, the entire bottom plates are covered with a big rubber pad. AFAIK, the adhesive on the velcro strips does not stick very well to rubber. I'm thinking about fabricating plates to screw on top of the rubber pads for the velcro to stick to. Other suggestions are welcome tho, I'm not gonna mount the pedals until I've gotten my Pedaltrain Junior next month.

For the Boss, cut a piece of Velcro oversize. Remove the bottom plate. Stick the Velcro to the rubber pad side of the base. Fold the extra length Velcro over the end of the base plate. Screw the base back on, trapping the ends of the Velcro between body and base.

I pulled the rubber off of my Mooers to get them to fit onto the board. Otherwise the velcro kept coming off of the rubber pad.

Back when I used a boss/ibanez pedal, I found the only way to get them to mount to a velcro board was taking off the rubber.

I like COA's method. But...

Sometimes you can just turn the plate over so that the rubber goes to the inside and affix yer sticky stuff to the bare metal.

Yeah, I tried that. The circuit board was mounted too low in the chassis tho, so the plate didn't fit up side down.

Cut some hardboard or similar and get some slightly longer screws if required and mount that over the original base and stick velcro to that. Cool pedals by the way!

Yeah, that was pretty much my original idea. Don't really want to modify the pedals, so that's what I'll go for most likely.

I still like the fingernails idea . BTW what most of us do anyway when we get a pedal is stick some velcro underneath, so I think it should not hurt the resale value any, if at all... At least that's how I treat my pedals.

I always wanted to get my self a Blues Driver. On one occasion i went to buy it and I bought the Bad Monkey instead. I know I am going to get this sooner or later.

I don;t remember the name of the site now but I bought a dozen plate that you just replace the bottom of boss pedals with. Only a few bucks each and gives you a clean flat surface to mount velcro. Leaves the original bottom plate intact.
