Download Seymour Duncan Pickup Samples....? How?

Hello, guys.

I want to decide between some pickups, but I need to listen to the samples very careful... and would like to download them to listen in a better way. Listening from the site is not the best. I want to open the sample tracks in my DAW and compare side by side every part of it.

Is it possible, to download those samples?

Are you talking about the little amp thing on each pickup page that has the samples or the videos? For the videos, I do a search for 'Youtube to MP3' and use those pages to convert videos to mp3. For that amp thing, I don't know if it is possible. If someone wants to decode the HTML (I haven't looked at it), you might be able to find the locations of those files on the server. Other than that, I don't think those are available to all of us.

Anyway, just got it! I installed an extension for Chrome that did it!

Not quite. Most video and audio samples were NOT produced by actual p'up swapping, but with with REAMPING.

So, what you'll hear may or may not translate to actual p'up-swapping experience.

Yeah, I know that.
But I suppose it's made to be the best simulation that SD could do, right? And I know there are several things (playing, amp, guitar, cables...) that influence the final sound, but I guess it's the best comparison I could find out there.

I don't think that was the reason, but mostly cost and respecting a certain deadline were the main factors. And the assumption that even if somebody would eventually find out, nobody would care enough to have this decision being challenged by actual users.

The latter turned out to be right on the money.
