DPDT S-P switch in a P/J setup?

I'm a big fan of having two volume controls and a push-pull DPDT series-parallel switch that's also the tone. I have this setup on my Squier Jazz, my Warmoth Tele bass, and my MIM Fender Jazz.

At the risk of asking a dumb question, is this wiring scheme possible with a P/J setup? I don't do my own installs or wiring, so I have no idea.

Yes, it is possible.

The DPDT links the P hot into the J ground.

Thanks, FF.

My Jazz Bass Special is wired as vol/blend/tone and I have never bonded with that setup at all.

It's time for a change...

If what you like about a two pickup Fender bass is the "honk" when the signals are blended almost equally, individual volume pots does it in a way that a dual-ganged Balance pot never seems to. Think about it. On the Balance pot, in the "honk" zone, the signals both pickups are partially attenuated by the resistance tracks of the relevant half of the control.

Active pickups are a different matter.

Makes sense...it's just always seemed dull: no definition on the low or high end. Thanks!
