Some of you might remember the old "Dream Machine" song I made. Well, here is a full version with a more rounded tone and solo!

Dream Machine FV

I used my Limited Edition Schecter Platinum C-1 Stealth with '59 in neck and Distortion in bridge. Really cool tone. I used my Carlos Santana setting on my Digitech for the solo and my own personal rhythm sound for backup guitars. Hope you like it!

Not bad at all... Maybe you could turn up the lead guitar sounds. Aside from that, it was amazing

Wow, your tone actually has improved a lot! So tell us what pickup did you use for what parts? Rythem DD, solo '59?

I like it! Nice tone! Your sound has seemed to have come along way. :)

Re: "Dream Machine FV"-Remake (Schecter w/'59-DD combo)

wow, sick tone! great lead playing as normal! terrific tune!

Re: "Dream Machine FV"-Remake (Schecter w/'59-DD combo)

ive said it before and ill say it again, you have some serious talent for making things catchy!

Sorry for the late reply! I thought nobody checked out this thread. Musta skipped over it.

Anyway, I think I used DD for rhythm and '59 for lead, not too sure though.
Whenever I lay down original stuff, a lot of the melody lines and whatnot happen by mistake, I just mess around over the backup guitars until I think I come up with something cool.

Thanks for listening!

i just listened to that tune again, and yeah, turn the lead playing up!

also, a cool band for you to check out if you havent are the scorpions. you sound a little like them.....

Re: "Dream Machine FV"-Remake (Schecter w/'59-DD combo)

I used to be pretty obsessed with "Rock You Like a Hurricane". I'll check them out again.

Re: "Dream Machine FV"-Remake (Schecter w/'59-DD combo)

great playing!

you just need to turn the lead volume up a little bit and it'll be perfect.
how did you get so good at writing stuff!!!!!! :D

Re: "Dream Machine FV"-Remake (Schecter w/'59-DD combo)

Thanks!

Hey Marin and Rid, what amps and EQ settings do you guys use for Strat sounds? I love your guys' tone and I haven't really been able to capture that mean Strat spank.

Re: "Dream Machine FV"-Remake (Schecter w/'59-DD combo)

You are welcome:)
Well not much different than with my humbuckers....
Mainly I use the worn out Bassman 100 watts top, a Hiwatt DR201, a 64 Selmer T & B 50 watts top, cabs are either 1 greenback 20watts speaker, or a Peavey 4x12 Jensen equipped cab.
Bas is on about 2 on the fender, mids all the way, treble around 4-6 depends on how much I want it to open up, master volume all the way, volume 4-5.
The Hiwatt is bass at 5, mids at 5 or almost full, treble 4-5, presence is just slightly open, use both the Brilliant and normal, master is either half or full, normal volume at 5-6 and brilliantvolume at 3-4.
Selmer...bass at 5 treble 4-6, volume halfway, it seems to work best there.
Basicly I use those settings for all my guitars, finetune alittle if the amps is having a weird day...bløødy tubes;)...
I just adjust my playing to what ever pickup I am on, keep it simple is my little mantra.
Volume up and down on the guitar also yields the desired sounds.
Hope this helps alittle.
Feel free to ask more.
:)

Thanks, Rid, I'll try it out and tell you how it goes. Do you use any FX? I usually put a bit of chorus on my Strat sounds.
