Dream rig II - only one axe and amp!

Re: Dream rig II - only one axe and amp!

I play me 69 Thinline RI straight into my Rivera 99% of the time as is, so I vote for that as my desert island rig. Throw a Hyperfuzz, a dynacomp, a TS9, and a Visual sound H2O and I'm golden.

Re: Dream rig II - only one axe and amp!

I have the guitar I have because I feel it is the best way for me to have all the elements in other guitars I want in a single package. I'd rather have a really nice Strat with a mini humbucker HSS setup than 2 or three guitars of lesser value and quality.

As for the amp. I really like my amp, it's a little old and I really want to have it looked at before it starts to go bad. I got it used and I have no idea what kind of stuff the previous owner did to it. Other than that, I really love it. It's not very expensive or top of the line, but it's really solid and it gives me all the sounds I need out of an amp. All I need out of an amp are good workable cleans that handle my 2 dirt pedals well. That being said, if I could have a new amp that would be a "dream amp", it would have to be a Fender Twin or another great clean fender amp. They're all pretty famous for handling pedals, and that's really what I need.

Re: Dream rig II - only one axe and amp!

I'm happy with my stuff. SG Junior with JB into a Cornford Roadhouse 30w combo. Only 'effect' is a GE7 in the loop for a solo boost.

Re: Dream rig II - only one axe and amp!

My beat up Gibson Explorer, and my Marshall JCM800, only I'd have it modified by Dave Friedman since we are not allowed to have pedals... give it more gain. Or if I were on a budget I'd cheat and add an onboard boost to my geetar!
