Re: Dream rig II - only one axe and amp!

My dream rig was already one axe, one amp.

Re: Dream rig II - only one axe and amp!

my SG and a dr. Z ezg-50 which is essentially a 50w blackface head, into an avatar classic 4x12, v30/12-75 x patterned. since this wwill be my only guitar, i'ma need some extra pickups and some soldering equipment on that desert island;)

Re: Dream rig II - only one axe and amp!

If I could only have ONE. Then I would opt for a Hiwatt and fat strat. Great cleans and crunch and takes pedals well for gains. Isn't much you can't do with a creatively wired start with a bridge humbucker

Re: Dream rig II - only one axe and amp!

my newest custom guitar and either my deluxe reverb or a bf super reverb with the normal channel modded like the normal channel on my deluxe

Re: Dream rig II - only one axe and amp!

Custom shop Fender with EMG SA single coil pickups and a Reeves 100watt matching half stack. I use the pedals to get the different sounds.

(Without that strat)

Although if we're absolutely not allowed pedals and I decide I can't make a decent sounding delay out of sticks and coconut shells then I might have to swap that amp for something with decent built-in effects.

Re: Dream rig II - only one axe and amp!

Either a HSS strat or a tele with humbuckers and a versatile high gain amp like a top of the line ENGL.

Re: Dream rig II - only one axe and amp!

* HR '52 Tele

* 40-60 watt Fender...Pro Reverb/Tone Master/Bassman/SuperSonic...whatever

Re: Dream rig II - only one axe and amp!

right now, I would live very happy with the following gear:

Re: Dream rig II - only one axe and amp!

2004 Slash Les Paul (Tobacco Burst with Piezo Bridge)
Marshall AFD100

If it has to be an existing product... then I'll take a Silver Jubilee.

Re: Dream rig II - only one axe and amp!

Yes KAM - you can have pedals....just dont tell us what they are....
The Tele Deluxe and Orange Amp is very tidy tho.

Re: Dream rig II - only one axe and amp!

did you choose the hrd stack because of your recent purchase of a rusty tin can? And did you sort out the problems?

Re: Dream rig II - only one axe and amp!

My dream rig would be based on 3 pieces

Guitar: 7 string custom made Carbon guitar. Multiscale 29" to 25" Tuned BEBEBEBE, fretless!

Amp: Axe FX Ultra + RCF FR set

Re: Dream rig II - only one axe and amp!

There are no neighbors on a deserted island :naughty:

So, Mesa Mark V with a 4x12 and a Lester. I'd be set.

we'll if that's true, i'd bring my rosewood custom build (art deco meets jazzmaster, 2 bucker, piezo bridge) and the amp design im working on (50 watt, clean fendery preamp and a mesa mark I preamp) and if i could a reverb pedal
