"Hey guys, check out these cool vintage Charvels/Jacksons!"

*argument over drywall screws commences*

:lmao:

How can we possibly believe those guitars aren't fakes since they are hung on sh*t hooks. (calm down kids, those hooks are fine for your Squire at home over carpet)

This man man must be held accountable!!

Hanging guitars - especially collectors' items - on the wall is probably a dumbest decision one can make. It can fall...doh...not to mention gathering dust and nocturnal creatures' drops overtime. Dumb, dumb, dumb...

I keep all my guitars safe and sound in their respective cases/ bags.

I have some collector guitars that I hang on the wall to display, but they are in locked cases with see-through doors which are extremely secured to the wall. An earthquake will not knock them off.

I don't have any on the wall, but if I did, this is the way to do it.

I was thinking of putting a couple of those showcases along the hallway. However, other projects come first.

^ Yep, those are similar to what I have. I have six...three just like that (but in light cherry wood) and three in tweed finish.

These are really cool. One thing to add -don't position guitar on hooks or cases where sun gets direct light or indirect heavy sunlight -UV kills guitars -especially stained guitars. My house has giant bay windows facing south about 12 ft that allow sun in places so I have to be really careful on placement.

The only reason I don't do cases like this, is because I don't "collect" guitars in the sense that all of my guitars are for the purpose of recording and gigging and have dings and flaws -none are show pieces that I am trying to preserve value for if that makes sense. I have over 40 guitars, cellos and such hung in the studio and around the halls -I use high end rotating, extra padding locking hooks so they can be pulled off quickly during a moment of inspiration for writing or such, which works really well as when I stored them in cased they wee underutilized and out of site (maybe thats a me issue). It's not the bestseller way to store them but the most safe and effective for working with the guitars all the time.

But if had real collector grade guitars these cases would be awesome.
