Drool

Re: Drool

That is nice. I like guitars that don't have pickguards, they look cleaner and the pickups don't look so remote/removed from the rest of the guitar. Nice find.

Re: Drool

... i really don't think that guitar cost anything close to that price new.

correct me if I'm wrong Jason.

There is a tele one like that in a store by my grandmas house in new york... it was $850......

You're both thinking of the Jim Root signature. This is the predecessor, the very rare Custom Shop Flathead Showmaster. I used to have a flathead Telecaster in nuclear yellow.

GIS is your friend for that :)

It wasn't the Jim Root... I know what that is... maybe it was a different guitar but I remember playing a silver tele with that kind of finish and a price tag of $850... hmmmm

Re: Drool

I'm getting a mental image of you guys walking into a guitar store, slapping down several severed duck bills on the counter and saying "I'd like that one please".

You're right. I remember him rockin' a guitar with that inlay years back.

Re: Drool

I bet the Squire version rocks 90% of the mojo for a buck fiddy

Still, bad@$$ as Fenders go.
