looking for a drum machine that has the most realistic sound to it. by realistic i mean sounds most like an actual drum kit. prefferably not to difficult to use and i would love for it to be less than around $250 (ebay included).

thanks in advance...

Re: drum machine advice......

No drum machine will sound that realistic...if you want it to sound real, you're going to have to go the computer route, programming midi and whatnot.

That said, the Zoom RT-123 are pretty darn good sounding, and go for under 100 on eBay.

Re: drum machine advice......

forget hardware drum machines- use soft synths...these days they have nothing to do with midi programming (not like it was hard to figure out anyway)..you will get *much* better sounds...check out Steinberg Groove Agent 2, Stylus RMX, Fruity Loops, or BFD.
Hardware drum machines still measure samples stored in megabytes; usually 8-16mb for *all* of the samples.
Some softsynth drums have libraries that span several DVDs, 30 or more gigs. If you want awesome sounds with realistic phrasing, invest in the software side of drumming.
