Dual 59/custom hybrids hum cancelling dilemma tb-16 and sh-16 in neck dillemma

Hey, can i shop floor custom order a humbucker with both it's coils reversed in wind direction from what they are standard? i'm looking to put 2 59/custom hybrids into it and want the split to inner and outer coils tones to be hum cancelling and since the 2 pickups are both bridge pickups practically identical, they are probably wound with the same turn directions on each coil

and yes the volume balance i know, totally a separate issue....

All bobbins are wound in the same direction. In order to run a pair of slug coils together or a pair of screw coils together and have them in-phase and hum cancelling you have to flip one magnet and reverse one set of wires. They can be on the same pickup but it doesn't have to be.

The reversed wires could be done one of two ways. The first way would be black and bare tied together, red and white tied together and green to hot. The second would be red and bare tied together, green and black tied together and white to hot. The only difference is how you split them (to hot or ground). For example, with the black and green tied together, if you connect that pair to ground you will get the slug coil.

In terms of what's going in the neck, I'd be far more worried about how much bass an SH-16 puts out than how much level it puts out.

Yeah thanks for the info i've actually got a crazy wiring hsh diagram with a 6 way toggle and a push pull to flip flop between the inners and outers, as well as a middle pickup blend volume and a phase push pull do, you think it could be color corrected as a shop floor custom?

You can have any humbucker made "RWRP" in the custom shop so that a set of humbuckers (using a standard bridge model and an 'rwrp' neck) would hum-cancel with both slug coils paired together or alternately both screw coils paired together.
If you wanted the neck pickup calibrated for volume balance (underwound) that can also be done for any custom shop order.

The way we normally wind our humbuckers the neck and bridge pickups would hum-cancel if split to the screw coil on one pickup and the slug coil on the other, or vice versa. The one pickup for which this is not the case is the P-rails neck model, which we make "rwrp" by default so that when using a set the p90 coils hum-cancel when used together, as well as the rails.
