Duckbucker into Stereo?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to mod a Jag to behave in stereo like a Teisco Spectrum 5 or a Vox Stereo xii. That being, 2 outputs with 3 strings out each (rather than the neck/bridge split of a Carvin, Rickenbacker, etc).
There's a few people who handwire these kinds of options, but I'm hoping to find a mass produced pickup that I can drop in with little to no modding.

Which brings me to my questions.

Does anyone know how Duckbuckers are wound and wired?
Do each trio of pole pieces have a separate coil, like this Curtis Novak Tele Humcancelled bridge

and then wired independently of each other?
Or are they wound like a normal humbucker, as 2 single coils side by side?

I'm also wondering if the magnets and blades on the bottom are separated to keep each side isolated from the other. I can't make out if that's the case in this image:

I've been hunting for answers for a few months, but I suppose it's a little specific, so thought some owners or people with some experience with the Duckbucker may be the right place to ask.

Hope someone might be able to shed some light for me.

Thanks in advance,

Gabe

It's built like a humbucker with two coils. The duckbucker has three conductor wiring, rather than four conductor wiring. What you want is a split coil pickup like the Mustang bass or P-bass.

Thanks for the reply!
Yeah, I've been looking at those Mustangs too.
Not sure about the string spacing.

I think in the mean time I'll just have to finish trying to get some dimarzio humbuckers to do the same. I've pulled the pole pieces and each single coil is wired independently.
Just a matter of swapping the center bar magnet with 2 narrower ones to put next to each trio of pole pieces...

But that's another story.
