I think it's a bit more clear now, and there's more definition in the hi-hat. Snare is slightly bigger and not so boomy.

Thanks guys! Well, that's the problem actually, I don't know what's wrong with it. I'm just not completely satisfied with it. I thought that someone would maybe come up with a point that I didn't see and it would make the mix better. I mean, I can't be objective anymore, I've been tweaking a few days now :smack: :laugh2:

There actually is a grind track for bass, maybe it's just too low. I'll pump it up

Thanks, dude! That's a cool thing to hear from you because your mixes are so damn tight and nice.

I've watched a lot of Ola Englunds vids and read from sevenstring.org. Well, I guess the guitar/bass mix is alright. Now I just have to make those drums sound massive.

I raised the grindy bass track in the mix. Now it's much more cutting without sacrificing the low end oomph. Thanks, man! This kind of opinions are always welcome

Oh and bad news on the recording front for me. Pretty sure the Lexicon Omega I got has a bad instrument jack. Gonna see if I can get something done with a mic though. Here's hopin'.

I can hear the guitar bass and drums very well, so bravo on that! nice riff. I dig the revalver tone!! what IR?

CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM: I think the drums are fatiguing/overcompressed. the overall mastering could use more limiting/compression to let the guitars pop out more. the bassdrum could use a bit more low frequencies (I am listening with rokit6s and a rokit10 sub)

cool man,on second thought here is a waveform from modern recording which most say is overcompressed:



you can see how it is compressed to the max, unlike older types of music waveforms; I do not want to get into a discussion about the merits/lack of merits on that

but look at your waveform, it seems as that the drum snare/bassdrum are spiking, meaning you probably turned them up volumewise and then you have a limiter on your master? maybe compressing the snare/bassdrum would suit you best.
