Dull sounding low E...

No matter how I tweak my Classic 30 my low E just sounds dull. I just had my guitar setup w/ 11-50's and like it a lot better, except the low E. Anyone have any ideas what could be my problem?

Wrap some 220 grit sandpaper around an A string, and give it a few angled swipes through the nut, just to clean it up. Do the same on the saddle. Get the action set as perfect as possible, and check the intonation. Change the strings. That should clear it up.

are you sure the string is completely over the pickup's pole piece? if its a bit off, it could have an effect like that
