Duncan `59 with alnico 8 anyone ?

I`ve got a Gibson V with a SH-5 Custom alnico 8 - sounds wicked!
I`m planning on putting an alnico 8 in the 59 neck pickup as well.
Has anyone tried that combo ? I play metal, and I`m looking for a tighter neck pickup with more pick attack.

I can imagine it would be somewhat similar to an Ibanez Super 70s, which I love. Clear and bitey.
