I have a set of Black Winters, but have never played an Evolution. What does ot compare to in the Duncan lineup?

There's really nothing quite like it. Perhaps if a JB, Full Shred and Distortion all had a threesome?

But it doesn't have the high mids of the JB or the DD. FS def, but colder, louder, stiffer, and more middy.

To my ears the Full Shred and Evolution have the most similarities. Both have a razor sharp attack and growling output. The difference is that the Full Shred is upper midrange and treble focused, while the evolution is lower midrange and bass focused.

Bit of a necro post here: I have a set of Evos inan Ibanez RGT42, putting black Winters in next week-ish (when they arrive), I'll post souind comparisons for you.
