The pickups are opposite ends of the universe

C5 = no mids, lots of highs, thin sounding if you like muscular midrange.

BBQ = super super thick, tons of mids and bass. Really allows you to not lose bass when switching from the neck pickup.

The C5 was a disaster. Thin, weak, small, tinkly sounding.

BBQ is the ideal SG bridge bucker for me. Ballsy fat and warm. It can hang with the neck pickup and hold it's own in the warm and full department. I now have em in all my SG's.

I do like the BBQ, but after a while I realized I got a bigger sound from the WCR Goodwood and the Wolfetone Marshallhead. The BBQ sounds very warm but I still hear something harsh.
