Duncan Custom Or Duncan Distortion?

Hi guys just wanted to ask which pickup would you all recommend for a good Thrash Metal? I am thinking of using this pickup for Exodus, Annihilator, pantera style playing. I am trying to maybe get a good grind tone like the Tempo Of the Damned Album by Exodus.

A good lead sound would be nice! :arms:



My Guitar is the RG321: specs are:

Mahogany Body
24/Jumbo frets
Bound Rosewood Finger Board
Fixed bridge

I've been using the Distortion and I think its a great pickup. Its really got a lot of balls and its just awesome with high gain. Sounds really full and powerful. I don't play trash metal though.

I'm actually switching it with a Custom soon... but thats just because I'm finding it a bit too hot for the music I play. I'm sure it would be good for you though.

I don't think a cleaned up tone would help for a thrash metal tone as ... the Custom is much cleaner ... alot of people say

I don't find the Custom to be all that clean. It still manages to break up. No big deal for me though, because it's awesome under high gain. And the 59 cleans up really well.
