LOL!!!!!! DumbA$$!!!!! Look who bought them!! They were the same ones that I was telling you about a few weeks ago. Sadly, they both turned out to be neck positions.

Hmm,so obviously they were not both out of the same guitar like the guy said. I didnt notice that they were both necks when i first looked at it.

Did you install them? Out of curiosity how do they sound?

Re: duncan desigend iommi

I have a set in a hard ash strat with maple neck. I have them in the bridge and middle positions. I am not sold on them. They sound like NEW Sabbath rather than old Sabbath. They are very scooped. Imagine this eq curve on a graphic eq. XXX__________XXX. It is a good pickup for slow and heavy music but the problem I have is that it gets lost in a mix. When I play to recorded music it gets lost in the drums. It might do well if you are a single guitarist in something pwoerfull and minimalist like Cult Of Luna or High On Fire.

If this is a HB103 only with blades instead of pole pieces, won't it still sound like an HB103, which isn't awe inspiring to say the least...

Re: duncan desigend iommi

OOPS! I already chimed in! I will replace mine for the right price$$! I had hb103's also and the hb-104 doesn't sound like them.

How do these compare to say the HB103's? WHat is different, since Evan makes it sound like these are basically HB103s with a large blade instead of polepieces. I cant see that changing the tone very much.
