Duncan Designed 7-string H/S pups

I'm planning on getting a Schecter 007 Elite soon... the one with a bridge humbucker and neck single coil. How are these pickups and what are they modeled after?
I've got an LTD EC300P with the stacked Duncan Designed P-90s and think they sound very good! I've not really been impressed with the sound of most regular Duncan Designed humbuckers in other guitars I've tried, but how about the 7-string models?

When I got my Jackson DR7 it had a pair of Duncan Designed humbuckers in it. The bridge humbucker is modeled after a JB I dont know what the single coil is modeled after. For what they were they sounded good they were both real even and warm with decent output. A way to put it is they seemed vaugely like what they were modeled after but werent quite as good think like a JB with a heavy doses of Nyquil. They were suitable for any type of music. I just wanted pickups that had more complex highs and had a bit more character. Now the guitar has a Distortion bridge and a Rio Grande Muy Grande in the neck.

Thanks. If it's warm with decent output, they should be okay. Guess I'll just have to wait and see when I get it. I tried some 6-string Jackson with the Duncan Designs one time and wasn't all that crazy about them.

The Jackson sevens I´ve tried all had the DD sets in them. IMO they were ok, but nothing "special", I probably would have swapped them out sooner or later. But then again, I also have a certain tone in my head before I even pick a guitar up, and almost always end up swapping the pickups out to achieve it.

But they probably would have been fine for the first few months, that I´m pretty sure of

+1. I think this applies to pretty much all DD pickups, with the exception of the Detonator. Honestly, considering how much time goes into deciding which pickup suits which wood the best, I don't see how anybody's stock pickups work that well, seeing how most companies have one or two models across the board.

Hey fellow Jackson fan! :bigthumb: I was actually about to post this on the Jackson board, too. I pretty much had forgotten they put the DDs in their 7-strings until Edgecrusher mentioned it. I guess I'll just have to see how they are when they arrive. Damn guitar is on back order for a couple weeks anyway! I'll most likely swap them out eventually, but we'll just have to wait and see.
I also had planned to swap out the DD P90s in my LTD, but they surprisingly do sound really nice. If the 7-string model is supposed to be modeled after the JB, it may not be so good, as I really wasn't that big of a fan of the regular JB when I had my Hamer (now owned by Travis). I thought it was lacking a little low end. I do like the high midrange sound, but I like to have a little more low end in there.
