Duncan Designed HB-102n in SG

Does anyone ever tried a Duncan Designed HB-102n (supposed to be a jazz, I think) in an SG? Yesterday I was looking at one and makes me wonder how it would sound, but I want to hear your opinions before all the work of pulling 2 pickups out to test one (the hole where the wires pass is too thin and the only way I can get they through is putting the wires of both pickups at the same time).

Thank you!

I picked up a tele body with one in the neck and it sounds pretty good. I recently sold a different tele body with an actual Jazz in the neck and the sound is extremely similar. If you can find a video with a real Jazz in an SG, you should be able to get the same sounds from the DD Jazz.

I have used one in my Strat. It's a nice pickup for the price - well built and very musical sounding. It is not quite as detailed as the Duncan Jazz, but it is still a lot better than the crappy stock ceramic pickups that come in most Epiphone SG's. I think you should do it.

The one I have is from a tele I had in the past. Just to be clear, I do not have stock Epiphone pickups in that sg. I once had a 59/C5 combo, a 59/CUOA5, a 59/C8. Now I don't own the 59 anymore, only the stock C5 and have installed in the guitar a GFS Mean 90 combo (bridge and neck)

custom 5 bridge/ hb 102 neck sounds like a good combo. go for it and post sound clips!

not in an SG but I had one in my lightweight mahogany schecter. I thought it sounded real nice. Classic vibe, rounded, like a bass guitar or jazz guitar. I keep it.
