Duncan Designed vs Duncan USA humbucker wiring

I want to try an A2 JB, but figured I would test with a Duncan Designed model before I started doing surgery on my USA model since I have never done this before. A friend of mine donated a DD JB to my project that has too short of a lead. I will be replacing the lead as well as the magnet. My guitar has a Duncan USA '59 in the neck, so I have to make sure that I get the phasing correct. I've been doing a lot of searches and I want to make sure that I have the right information.

Duncan Designed coils:
Black = start
Red = finish

Duncan USA coils:
Red = start
Black = finish

Both Duncan Designed and Duncan USA models have the north side of the magnet towards the slugs.

Is this right????

Same four colours in the same order.

Quite often, I find that DunDes pickups have been installed with the bare and black conductors twisted together and permanently grounded. The green conductor is used as hot. Presumably, this resolves phase/polarity issues when using DunDes humbuckers on HSS guitars.

Re: Duncan Designed vs Duncan USA humbucker wiring

I was a little confused after Blueman335's post because searching the board I found some info to the contrary. But after some testing it looks like he's right and the other information is wrong. They may be wired in with the black as the hot, but this is what I found using the screwdriver test on the four wire lead:

Slug coil: black = negative, white = positive
Screw coil: red = negative, green = positive

When my magnets come in I'll verify polarity and the red and white wires coming off the coils, but so far it is looking like they are as Blueman335 say's and exactly the same.
