Do you think it would work with a Peavey classic 30 without burning up?

Maybe someone that`s a little smarter than me with attenuators can chime in. I`d hate to say yes to make a sale and have you fry your amp.

Attenuators basically turn electrons into heat --- you CAN run a low-rated (e.g. 25 watt) attenuator with something like a 30 watt amplifier, but you will build up a lot of heat quickly and likely damage components.

Possible: yes

Sustainable: no

I run a 25 watt attenuator on a 5 watt head so my attenuator stays cool.

Good luck with the sale! / Bump!
