Duncan Distortion - am I missing something?

I've never tried a Duncan Distortion so I'm wondering where it fits with the models I'm more familiar with. My list of Duncan favorites are Custom Custom, Custom, Jazz, APII. I'm not a big JB fan.

What's going on with the Duncan Distortion and which guitars does it sit in best? I am a mahogany, Les Paul type of guy leaning toward more Marshall amp tone.

The Duncan Distortion is a 16k+ humbucker with an oversized ceramic magnet so it is definately hotter and more agressive than you are used to.

I have a Distortion set in a Les Paul and through my Marshall it's a seriously tough sound. If you want a lot of attitude, the DD is hard to beat in a passive pickup.

+1, I've got 2 in my explorer, and 1 in my Atilla Balough Oddessy...they SMOKE through a Marshall for great Metal riffage.
