duncan distortion in an rg

right now i have a trem spaced JB. I have no complaints but i think it's time to try something new in the bridge position of my RG since i haven't made a change on it in a couple months... (basswood, maple neck, floating floyd) made in 91

I am thinking a trem spaced duncan distortion but the only reason is because larry lalonde of primus supposedly uses one and what can i say... I'm a fan.

If anything i want a lil more knock in the low end and a lil grit but not muddy. Think primus and that's exactly what tone i'm looking for from this guitar atm.

If that pickup will get me closer then the JB will then by all means tell me and i will make it happen. However if it won't save me the trouble. Thanks guys

The DD will have more grit and low end than the JB, yes, and it shouldn't be as bright, which for me, is a good thing in most guitars.

if you wish for a healthy dose of low end in an Ibanez (especially floating vibrato equipped models) check out the PATB.

hey guys,
sorry to intrude on your posting, but will the Duncan Distortion give me Chug and Chunk then the Duncan Custom?

Thanks
