Duncan Quarter Pounders?

Hey guys! I'm getting ready to replace the neck and middle single-coils in my home-made strat. I have a JB in the bridge. The stock SCs sound lifeless and when I switch from the JB to the neck, during a solo, the gain drops and I loose all of the singing quality that I'm looking for. As I understand it, the QP will give me a fatter sound along the lines of a P-90. I think this maybe the pups for me. I just wanted to get some opinions from you guys. I play music simular to Fuel & Collective Soul. I need a very fluid neck position lead sound that's fat and punchy.

Thanks!
JD

The QPs will definately give you more punch and output. With my JB loaded Strat I ended up with a lil59 in the neck and a Hot Stack in the middle. Killer tone and plenty of output.

a qp in the neck is plenty fat and punchy, sings really well on solos too!
