Duncan Thrash Factor and Alex Skolnick?

I don't see these often being discussed. I love JB's. I think I'd like these JB's tweaked for the heavyz.

I think the Thrash Factor is meant to be a slightly underwound JB, right? Does it have a polished magnet? So how does that one sound? More open and slightly more Custom 5-ish, as the specs would suggest?

The AS is supposed to be an overwound JB with a rough magnet? I would assume that one sounds hotter and more mid-forward? I think I'd love that.

I would love to hear you guys' experience if you have either.

i havent tried a thrash factor, but i believe it has a polished mag

I have a Thrash Factor in a LP Standard-its more akin to a stamped sticker (JBJ) era JB than the current model as it has less honky mids.

Less mids is what I was expecting from the specs.

Would you say they've still got the JB vibe, though?
