"SRV tone for guys who use 009's" is how the SSL-5 is described in the Duncan catalog - this SSL-6 is the same pickup as the SSL-5 but with flat polepieces.

Fat, warm, high output tone with plenty of mids.

Especially suited as a bridge pickup in a Strat.

This one's still in the original sealed jewel box but it's not from my normal inventory. Unused but no warranty or 21 day exchange. Don't remember exactly how I ended up with it! :smack:

Don't quite get it Lew. If it's still sealed it it's original box, why exactly can't you offer a warranty or 21 day exchange?

Man, who the hell cares, it's $40 for that kickass pickup!

I've only got one strat, and it's already got that pickup in it, but man, I'm still thinking of buying that. I bought a used version of that pickup with some slight rust on it for $40, and I'm totally satisfied, getting it brand new for $40 is amazing.

Seriously, one of ya'll buy it up before I alert some strat-weilding friend of mine about how great this deal is.

I assume for the same reason that you or I can´t offer the 21-day on a brand new pickup that we never used or opened

Hi Darrin, $35 is half of retail. Plus I didn't order this pickup from Duncan...it was given to me. Thanks! Lew
