Duncans for a HSH Ibanez RG 470

Re: Duncans for a HSH Ibanez RG 470

Sorry i didn't reply sooner, 9finger is right, it will be a direct replacement no problem, but if you want to put in the Original Floyd mounting studs, then some work will be needed as they are wider than the normal Ibanez ones. Although you can easily get away with using the Ibby ones if you wanted.

Re: Duncans for a HSH Ibanez RG 470

I personally wouldn't get the Floyd Rose Pro. I put one in my Ibanez. It's a great unit, but in the future, if you want to part out your guitar and put the Floyd on another guitar, an original floyd is more adaptable- you can mount in on a flush mount or recess mount body. The Floyd Rose Pro NEEDS the recess route.

The Pro is slightly more expensive and after playing both I don't see the justification in spending more for it than an original Floyd. It's cosmetically a little more streamlined and similar to an Ibanez Lo-pro Edge tremolo, but it doesn't make any different in playability or tone.

Thanks for your input. The FR Pro is not available left handed, so I won't put it, anyway. Thanks to the kind advices of some forumites here, I decided to get the Original.
